Unfinished Catch-All Basement Turned Kids Playspace

Problem

It’s easy for unfinished basements to become catch-all, unorganized spaces for any and everything you don’t want to see on your main floor. For this family, it was no different. But with kids, toys were then tucked away and forgotten-about downstairs or in-the-way upstairs.

Solution

A healthy purge and some new cost-efficient kids furnishings that created a whole new space for playing and toys. Adding this new “room” to the house helps keep their main floor organized and clean too.

Results

  1. Space that’s more than storage; it’s now fully functional

  2. An extra room added to the house that promotes imagination and play

  3. Dedicated space downstairs for kids leaving the upstairs free for parents
